Massive flood in Winnetka due to pipe breaks

A faulty furnace caused this vacant rental home to be without heat during sub zero temperatures the week before Christmas 2016. The water ran from broken pipes in this bathroom ceiling for 6-7 days causing major flooding on the second and first floors as well as the basement. When someone finally checked on the house, there was 4 inches of standing water in this bathroom as well as a foot of ice frozen in the basement and frost on the inside of the windows an inch thick. The demolition in the bathroom was the first step of many to get this home back into shape. Make sure whenever you are away from your home for an extended period, you have someone look in on it!!
